摘要

Low-temperature oxidation (LTO) of crude oil has been investi- gated for its potential as a sand consolidation technique. Loose sand (20/30 mesh) saturated with crude oil (18 to 20 deg API) and brine was subjected to air injection at a low temperature (100 to 150 deg.C) of a period of time (6 to 18 hours). The sandpacks de- veloped compressive strengths ranging between 375 and 1,274 psi. The permeability loss due to consolidation was between 4.5 and 22/100.
