APPLICATIONS OF QUADRIVARIATE EXPONENTIAL DISTRIBUTION TO A THREE SERVICE POINT TANDEM QUEUE

A single channel three service point tandem queue with zero queue capacity and blocking is considered. Assuming that the interarrival time and the service times at three service points are dependent, the transient solution for the system, when the joint distribution of interarrival time and service times at service point 1, service point 2 and service point 3 is quadrivariate exponential is obtained. Also, CAN estimator and asymptotic confidence limits for the expected number of entities in the system are obtained.
