SIGMOD Officers Election Process

As I am sure you are well-aware, we are in the midst of an election to identify the next set of officers to run SIGMOD. It is even possible that you may have learned the results of the elections by the time you read this. In this short note, I explain the process that we followed in this process.rnIn Fall 2008, the current SIGMOD Chair, Raghu Ramakrishnan, asked me to chair the Nominating Committee. Together we selected the other members. In addition to the two of us, the Committee consisted of Susan Davidson (University of Pennsylvania), Gustavo Alonso (ETH Zurich), and Kyu-Young Whang (KAIST).
