In June in the RF armed forces the summer period of instruction began. The intensity of the combattraining of formations and units of all Services and Arms of the AF grows. The mastery of new rinds and forms of combat training goes. Today Russia as before needs guaranteed providing of its safety. Therefore the protection of sovereignty, territorial integrity, other vitally important national interests of our country remains the primary task of armed forces. Armed forces must be contemporary, capable of effectively counteracting new global threats, including international terrorism. The power of Russian army must and will depend not on number but on oTMtanding training of specialists and on high technical equipment. We must assemble new army - professional, mobile, which corresponds to all contemporary requirements.
