RIBA South East wins biggest-ever grant

RIBA South East, along with the Solent Centre for Architecture + Design, will receive a Grants for the Arts award of up to ￡88,000 to run architecture08, a celebration of architecture in the south east during May and June on behalf of Arts Council England. The grant is the largest given in one tranche by the Arts Council for architecture. 2. Panter Hudspith Architects has won an invited competition, administered by the RIBA South East, to redevelop a former cinema site in Tunbridge Wells. The firm beat five other practices for the job, including, FAT, Avanti Architects and Stanton Williams.
