The blades supplied with the Raptor are wooden and although they come covered and with some weight already installed, you are required to fit the blade-root reinforcement which, although dealt with at the end of this review, is none the less very important for your own safety and that of others. As I have mentioned, the blades are supplied already covered, so you will be required to cut a small piece of this covering away, to let you stick the plastic root reinforcement to the wooden blades. So that I did not remove too much covering I placed the root reinforcement in position on each blade and marked round it. I then took a sharp knife and cut inside the mark and removed a small piece of the covering. This is done on both sides of both blades. Then the root reinforcements are glued in place, using an epoxy glue and the reinforcements are additionally secured in place with the screws supplied.
