As this is my first Aerodynamic Forum of 2013 (even though it's the February issue) I'd like to wish our readers all the best for the forthcoming New Year and I hope that everyone has now recovered from the worst excesses of the festive season. I would also like to thank all those readers who emailed me in 2012 with questions, observations and encouragement - it was very much appreciated. I still have a few suggested subjects to cover and, if you have sent in an email and are still waiting, I hope to get around to your subject this year, honest!
