I am sure many guys in our aero-modelling fraternity have an old fuselage, maybe half built and abandoned, or the result of a crash, but plenty of memories, so not officially declared as scrap or for the bin. This was the case with my R/C model N.5. It began life back in 1966. Over the years, various reasons, due to studies and business, stopped the use of this fuselage till 2008! It was originally a replica of the well-known Fly Baby, but I decided to transform it. I redesigned the cowl, made a new undercarriage and a pylon for the rotor head. The idea was to create an autogyro, or if you prefer a gyroplane, or gyrocopter, or 'windmill' as the Americans called the first machines of this type.
