Geoarchaeology and taphonomy

摘要

This issue of Quaternary International contains selected papers from the proceedings of the international meeting entitled "Geoarchaeology and Taphonomy" held at Aix-en-Provence, France from September 24-26, 2008. The main goals of the meeting were to present current geoarchaeological research focusing on taphonomic issues from different temporal, spatial and genetic perspectives, and to highlight the importance of sedimentological and pedological studies for the reconstruction of taphonomic processes in archaeological sites.
