We welcome Erdem Bekaroglu's (E.B.) comments on our paper (Dogan et al., 2012) and the opportunity to discuss some important aspects related to MIS 5a and MIS 3 high sea-level events not reflected in the paper. We have endeavoured to follow the comments in the order of their presentation.
