Indications of geomorphological activity in peat bog deposits in the Pirin Mountains, SW Bulgaria

摘要

Peat bog deposits are reliable archives of climate and environment change but their sediment origin was underestimated in the Bulgarian studies up to now. The aim of this study is to enhance the understanding of lake sedimentation in order to improve the knowledge of lake dynamics under climate change during the Holocene in the Pirin Mountains.
