摘要

A laser heater has been used to impose a pulsed high power laser beam on a metal film immersed in liquid to generate a very high rate of temperature rise up to 9.3 × 10~6 K/s in the metal film. The rapid transient boiling phenomena have been observed and the temperature variations in the metal film have been measured. Theoretical calcu- lations have been carried out with the fluctuation nucleation theory and the heat conduction theory to compare with the experimental results, and some results are reported.
