Urbanwords is a project with the ambitious aim of recording the meanings and tracking the development of the words we use to talk and write about our urban environment. Its groundbreaking 500-page book The Dictionary of Urbanism (Cowan, 2005) has been hailed as the standard reference on urban design, planning, regeneration and the culture of cities.
