Respectfulness as a performance art: way-finding

I am standing on the 100,000 years old beaches of Lake Mungo and hearing our Muthi Muthi and Barkindji mentors speak of those 100,000 years as if they were yesterday. I hear the metaphor—way-finding—of present day Sea Peoples as they re-enact the voyagings of their ancestors to encompass the vast spaces of their Sea of Islands as my own metaphor of intellectual discovery. To listen you must be silent. To enter otherness you must be respectful.
