Today, a wide variety of in-line inspection (ILI) tools is available to hydrocarbon pipeline operators, designed tonidentify and measure various types of pipeline anomaly. The need to keep a growing global pipeline infrastructure safenhas driven the development and widespread use of these devices for over 40 years.
