Rehabilitation of corrosion protective coatings on buried steel pipelines

In the last 50 years, large oil and gas pipeline networks have been installed with a diverse range of coating systems.nThe rehabilitation of these pipelines – and especially of their corrosion protective coatings – has now become a topicalnchallenge. This article will concentrate on the experience obtained with so called three-ply plastic tapes. Due to theirnself-amalgamating butyl rubber layers, they have proved to have excellent performance for rehabilitation purposes fornover 30 years.
