摘要

This paper introduces the principle and application of using back propagation artificial neural networks to predict coal quality parameters and coalbed gas content. The results of predicting the actual data of the Huabei (north) area of China show that the method, which is concise and convenient to apply, is effective, precise and the outcome is satisfactory.
