Synthesis and third-order nonlinear optical properties of α-MnS and α-MnS/rGO composites

摘要

alpha: -MnS and alpha-MnS/rGO are synthesized by one-step hydrothermal method, using graphene oxide (GO), TAA (CH3CSNH2) and MnCl2 center dot 4H(2)O as reactants. We characterize the structure, size, morphology and absorption characteristics of samples. Results show that the size of alpha-MnS can be controlled and nanoparticles are attached on reduced graphene oxide (rG0). Nonlinear optical (NLO) properties of all samples are tested by the laser with wavelength of 532 nm and pulse width of 30 ps. Z-scan patterns display that a-MnS exhibits reverse saturation absorption, while composite shows enhanced saturated absorption. NLO properties of composites are better than that of alpha-MnS nanoparticles, implying that composites have potential applications in NLO devices.
