Meeting Report 'the 12th International Symposium On Virus Diseases Of Ornamental Plants (isvdop 12), April 2008, Haarlem, The Netherlands'

The meeting (ISVDOP 12, 20-24 April 2008) has been organized by the working group of ornamentals within the International Society of Horticultural Science (ISHS) and is held every 4 years. The ISHS, dating from 1864 and formally constituted in 1959, has more than 7000 members representing some 150 countries. It is the world's leading independent organization of horticultural scientists and publisher of Acta Horticulturae, Chronica Horticulturae, and Scripta Horticul-turae.rnISVDOP 12 has been held in the historical city of Haarlem, the cradle of Dutch tulip cultivation. The symposium took place in the middle of important horticultural regions yielding pot plants and cut flowers under glass, flower bulb crops, perennials and shrubs.
