Orange delays UK digitalTV launch

Orange has delayed the commercial launch of its digital-television service in the UK until 2008. The France Telecom-owned operator was due to launch before the end of the year, offering a hybrid digital-terrestrial television service via Freeview with video-on-demand through a broadband-enabled set-top box. The company said: "As part of our Digital TV launch plans, we can confirm that the first phase - our trial to existing paying broadband customers - started in November.
