Uptake and genotoxic effects of ochratoxin A in cultured porcine urinary bladder epithelial cells

Uptake of radiolabelled ochratoxin A (OTA) into porcine urinary bladder epithelial cells (PUBEC) was measured at neutral (pH 7.5) or acidic (pH 5.0) conditions. Genotoxicity of OTA was evaluated with the Comet assay and cytotoxicity with the neutral red uptake assay.
