September has arrived and we again look at WiMAX and LTE. Much to everyone's surprise LTE seems to have lived up to its expectations, at least technologically, and in the process put future roll outs of WiMAX into question. This does not mean that WiMAX will necessarily die.rnBoth these technologies have a lot in common and there is an opportunity for operators who have rolled out WiMAX to reuse a fair amount of equipment and move to a future more oriented towards LTE.
