Recently, as magnesium alloy has been applied in various engineering components that requirenlow thickness and light weight, research on the press forming of magnesium alloy has beennvigorously pursued. Existing studies on the forming of magnesium alloy have been undertaken fornround or square types of component; yet, there has been little research on manufacturing partsnwith complex shapes by means of multi-step processes. This study evaluates the formability ofnparts with complex shapes by applying warm press forming processes for magnesium alloy. Andeep drawing process with three steps was performed to investigate the effect of thenmanufacturing process on the formability when simultaneously forming round and square shapesnby using an AZ31 sheet manufactured by twin roll casting and rolling (TRCR) and extrusion (EXT)nprocesses. The forming depth, depth distribution and microstructural evolution were investigatednafter the three-step drawing.
