This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a new haemostatic agent (Ankaferd Blood Stopper,nABS) on the microtensile bond strength (mTBS) of self-etch and etch and rinse adhesives tondentin. Flat dentin surfaces were divided into four groups per adhesive according toncontamination procedures: group 1 (control): no contamination; group 2: blood; group 3: ABS;ngroup 4: blood and ABS. Specimens were tested for mTBS and data were analysed using analysisnof variance and Tamhane tests. All groups showed lower mTBS than the control group (p,0?05).nThe mTBS in groups 3 and 4 was significantly higher than in group 2 (p,0?05). No statisticallynsignificant differences were observed in the mTBS of the adhesives (p.0?05). The mTBS of thenABS groups was lower than the mTBS of the control groups but higher than the mTBS of the bloodncontaminated groups. These results indicate that ABS application may be recommended afternblood contamination during restorative procedures.
