摘要

With this issue, Marine Geodesy is completing 30 years of successful publication. When I started this journal in 1976, the field of marine geodesy was in its infancy. Tsunami researchers Tad Murty and S. L. Soloviev saw the importance of marine geodetic methods in tsunami research. Satellite altimetry was also in its beginning stage.
