Accumulating evidence demonstrates that although 'artificial' or man-made light can add to human health and wellbeing, artificial light also has negative human health consequences both directly and indirectly. Indirectly by negative consequences to all other forms of life in the biosphere, a biosphere human life depends on. As this is not immediately physically apparent, deemed dramatically newsworthy, nor a political issue, or currently affects a person's income; it is insidious.
