The lighting industry has been characterised by disruption over the past decade, with the influx of LED technology causing a rapid shift away from the oligopoly that previously existed, to a market characterised with suppliers of every size. As more and more players became involved in the supply of LED lighting, the advances in technology saw increases in efficiency and lifetime, more flexibility in application, but most notably, a drastic decrease in the price of products.
