Fuzzy Set Theory in the Control of Co-ordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)

摘要

This paper describes an application of fuzzy set theory to the development of a system suitable for controlling co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs). The work reports on the development of a fuzzy relation matrix, R and introduces methods for fuzzification and defuzzification. Experimental results are presented to show how the approach can contribute to the positional accuracy and reliability of CMMs.
