摘要

Primary reflections exhibit a hyperbolic trajectory with apeces near zero offset on seismic common shot gathers. When these gathers are corrected for normal moveout the primary reflections become horizontal. Diffractions caused by local scatterers produce hyperbolic events whose apex occurs at the location of the scattering event. Due to the geometry of these events, numerical models of wave propagation indicate that filters operating on a weighted and unweighted linear, parabolic or hyperbolic Radon domain can successfully model the reflections upon inverse transformation. These modeled reflections can then be adaptively subtracted from the input gather to enhanced the diffractions.
