In recent times there is a growing awareness that organizational change can only be successful if “soft facts” are taken into consideration. Organizational change depends not only on a “change of mind” but especially on emotional and motivational commitment on the employees’ side. In the other hand, the methods and strategies used to pursue this goal are often inadequate. This article shows how a “culture of encounter” that propels the change process can be modelled with conceptual and methodological elements from the lab of J. L. Moreno, a pioneer of organizational development.
