摘要

The report presents a bomb disposal robot research which is divided into two parts. The first part is to design and a bomb disposal robot prototype. The second part concerns the computer program for controlling and displaying the robot's image on the monitor. Two types of robot have been built. Each one has a compact size which can move easily on rough area. The robot is powered by two DC motors with a controller which can withstand 30 Ampere current. Different types of instrument can be installed on the robot such as robot arm, video camera, disrupters, a wireless and a wire controller, and etc. The robot can lift a weight of 5 kilograms. The video camera used can send a real time video with frame rate of 30 fps. By installing two cameras, the operator can easily control a robot arm while looking at a picture in a monitor. The embedded PC used in this research is the one that has an internet protocol installed such that the communication between the robot and the control station can be operated at a very high speed.
