UTILIZATION OF GAME- T DATA BASES AND DEVELOPED MODELS FOR INTEGRATED RESOURCES MANAGEMENT OF THE CHAO PHRAYA BASIN

GAME-T datasets provided by Agata were employed to support the development of a resource management decision system for the Upper Chao Phraya Basin. At the first phase, the conceptual framework for building hydro - meteorological models basing on data collected from both Thailand s agencies concerned and GAME-T project coupled with climate change data and the ENSO effect was formalated. This step has been proceeded under cooperation among Thai and GAME-T scientists. Three sub-projects have been in the process of formulating and calibrating models for predicting and forecasting. They are (1) Public Domain Model (SWAT/GIS) Development on the Chao Phraya River Basin, (2) Flash Flood and Landslide Modeling for Upland of the Chao Phraya Basin using GIS Techniques and (3) The Probable Impact of Climate Change on the Inflow of Bhumibol and Sirikit Reservoirs. Recently, databases for the selected watersheds namely Pasak, Mae Chaem, Upper Nan and Mae Waang which are in the main river basins (Ping, Wang, Yom and Nan) were completed for next phase of DSS development. Preliminary results after model calibration were briefly described and the proposed conceptual framework of DSS development for resource management planning was also presented.
