Leisure traffic is becoming increasingly important in the public transport industry. Its role is growing at almost the same rate as daily services for commuters and shoppers. In places where corresponding services are being offered to these sectoral transport markets, the demand for public transport services for leisure purposes is rising steadily. In this connection, the demand and potential at weekends and during holiday times are of particular importance.
