Perspectives of Public transport In central Europe

摘要

The extremely rapid and profound social changes, which took place in the states of the post-socialist block, certainly influenced the transport of the region and thus the public transport. The acceleration of the motorization and its impact on the modal split affect- ed-almost without exception-the big cities of the region. Every country and city tries to solve the prob- lem caused by this process in its own way, although we can find some resemblance as well due to the similar situation. Furthermore emphasis will be given to the analysis of the situation in Hungary, or rather in Budapest.
