Metro line 2 reconstruction in Budapest Local innovations and valuable lessons

Reconstruction work is planned to complete in a period of four years 2003-2007. The metro tine 2 (M2) modernisation project is set to complete in 2007 and is expected to cost HUF 43 billion (EUR 175 million). 70% of the financial resources for the reconstruction have been covered by a European Investment Bank loan, and 30 % by the city of Budapest.
