LEGAL ISSUES OF IDENTITY MANAGEMENT IN E-GOVERNMENT

摘要

The development of e-Government is one of EU's top priorities toward the goal of exploiting the benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across Europe. ICT enables the public sector to implement innovations in the delivery of its services to citizens, which eliminate bureaucracy and enhance its efficiency, while reducing costs. To achieve these tasks, the European Union has assumed an active role in promoting the very concept and specific e-Government initiatives.
