Editorial

摘要

It is my great honor to be appointed Editor-in-Chief of JISE. After serving as the Managing Editor from 1995 to 2001, I am very happy to return to the journal. Special thanks are due to my predecessors, Dr. D. T. Lee, and Dr. H. Y. Mark Liao. Through their leadership and immense efforts, JISE has reached a new level of excellence, which creates tremendous pressure, but also provides inspiration, for an incumbent like me to maintain and grow the journal. The number of submissions to JISE has increased to over 400 a year. I am very pleased to announce that, with the diligent support of Dr. Tsan-sheng Hsu and our computing staffs, we have recently established an electronic submission system, which opens up a new era for JISE.
