摘要

Theoretically, this research extends understanding of safety on public land use by revealing site reputation as a predictor of outdoor recreation involvement. [...] public land managers might focus less on reducing evidence of crime and more on developing site reputation through die provision of information on strategies to mitigate crime on public lands as a forum to encourage continued outdoor recreation involvement.
