摘要

This paper presents a modified dual-valve mechanism that will help prevent the leaking problems inherent in toilet flush systems. The design, which operates the same as a regular flush system, provides an improved alternative to other leak prevention devices that are either impractical or need special adjustments during installation and operation. As part of a senior design project, three prototypes were constructed to test the function of the design, and test results show that the mechanism is easy to assemble and apply to two major flush systems. Magnetic activation reduces the heavy resistance to flushing found in similar devices.
