Although apparently stagnating in comparison with the numerical models, the scale modelling methods develop by application of the new measuring technics, instrumentation, data acquisition and data processing systems. A recently developed control, positioning, measuring and data processing device for investigation on scale models has been tested by investigation of flow field on a model of Danube harbour.
