As indicated in the subtitle, the book under review addresses China's linkages with the developing world at the beginning of the twenty-first century, which constitutes a fairly important component of China's foreign relations. It consists of an introduction chapter and ten substantial chapters, including three chapters (Chapters one, two and three) tackling the general theoretical issues concerning China's foreign policy, and the other seven chapters dealing with China's concrete links with the different regions of Third World regarding oil, economy, and security.
