摘要

The delineation of threshold concepts has been conversed for over 10 years to global practitioners looking to expand initialized subject-specific knowledge. The volume outlines bounded, integrative, irreversible, transformative, and troublesome threshold concepts associated with the multidisciplinary fields of study. The 25 chapters are broken down by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) framework: Authority is Constructed and Contextual, Information Creation as Process, Information Has Value, Research as Inquiry, Scholarship as Conversation, and Searching as Strategic Exploration. The volume discusses the ideals of threshold concepts rather than specifics within the framework as a whole. The overall emphasis provides differential pathways for both educators and scholars.
