Russia's VKS to receive 16 new Su-34s this year

The Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) will receive 16 new Su-34 frontline bombers this year, Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov said during a visit to the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant on 10 March. "The Novosibirsk Aviation Plant has a long-term contract with [Russia's] Ministry of Defence [MoD] for 92 Su-34 aircraft," said Borisov. "[The enterprise] has been fulfilling the contract ahead of schedule for almost a year. We are looking forward to getting four aircraft above the plan this year.
