The R Primer

摘要

The programming language R, tailored for statistical analysis and graphics, is widely used, immensely useful through the availability of a vast number of specialized packages, and can be downloaded for free. The present book introduces R by means of a collection of very concrete examples, rather than attempting to explain each feature in full generality. In my experience, starting from concrete examples is the easiest and preferable way to learn a new programming language. This makes the book a nice starting point for learning R, and suitable for self-study provided the reader has some background in statistics.
