Retrofitting switchgear

In connection with a consistent data communication, intelligent circuit-breakers ensure a fast response of the 400 Volt supply to interruptions. In the E.ON transformer station Pleinting, situated in the lower Bavarian city of Vilshofen, the auxiliaries system was commissioned in 1975. After an operating time of over 25 years, complete restoration of the switchgear was due. Reinhard Petschko from the Regensburg network centre says, "We wanted to retain our switching concept and simply upgrade it to comply with [the latest] technology."
