Repowering Romerbrucke

Raf Anne of Tractebel Engineering, Belgium, looks at how the loss of efficiency and production at a power plant in south-west Germany led to a repowering project to modernise the facility and help meet. The Romerbrucke power plant of Electrabel Deutschland provides heat and electricity to the city of Saarbrucken. Considering the strict regulations on emissions and the need for modernisation, it was decided to repower the existing installation. Tractebel Engineering was chosen as the EPCM contractor.
