Spotlight on climate energy and security

Lord Browne of Madingley, FRS FREng, who is president of The Royal Academy of Engineering and the former group CEO of oil and energy giant BP plc, will deliver the Distinguished Lecture at this year's Oceanology International conference and exhibition, being held under the overall mantle of 'Technology, Sustainability and the Oceans'. His lecture on Day 2 will revolve around the event's key themes of climate change, meeting future energy needs and ensuring environmental and civil security. Lord Browne spent much of his time at BP guiding the company towards finding ways to meet future energy needs at the same time as protecting the environment.
