Projects and programmes: Diversity of management, diversity of aims and interests

Welcome to this special edition of the IJPM, which contains a papers drawn from the Projects and Programmes Track of the 8th Annual Conference of the European Academy of Management, EURAM 2008, which was held 14-17 May in Ljubljana and Bled, Slovenia. The theme for the track was "Diversity of management, diversity of aims and interests". In both the public and private sectors, management is choosing more and more often to organise diverse and non-routinised activities as projects and programmes, where programmes can be considered to be clusters of projects aimed at meeting diverse goals for organisations and diverse societal policies.
