China’s innovation system and the move towards harmonious growth and endogenous innovation

In this paper, we have analysed the forces behind China’s rapid growth. We have shownrnthat pragmatic policies and policy learning have been central to its success. We havernalso identified challenges posed by its growth pattern and remaining weaknesses in itsrninnovation system.
