摘要

Diode-pumped Nd:YAG lasers are used to study the hyperfine spectrum of ~127I_2 for establishing a portable wavelength standard at 532 nm and 1064 nm. The line shape's modulation-frequency and iodine-pressure dependence are investigated. Narrow linewidth was obtained with good signal-to-noise ratio. The Nd:YAG laser frequency was locked to observed Doppler-free absorption lines. The root Allan variance of the beat frequency between two independent I_2-stabilized laser systems is 3.3 × 10~(-12) for τ = 10000 s.
